Purpose
Address littering, dumping, and open burning by introducing environment-friendly systems. Recent focus includes Swachchhata Sankalp Yatra (2024).
Approach
Source segregation, door-to-door collection, and decentralised composting. Projects include road construction using plastic waste.
Impact & Outcomes
Cleaner public spaces, reduced unmanaged waste on slopes, and formal recycling systems for plastic and e-waste.
River Rejuvenation

OngoingBaldhauti Gadhera and major tributaries
Purpose
Strategic restoration of minor tributaries to rejuvenate major river systems in the Uttarakhand Himalayan region.
Approach
River Yatra (Awareness walks), Vari Vimarsh (Water discourse), and forestation along tributary zones like Baldhauti Gadhera.
Impact & Outcomes
Improved long-term river health, consistent water flow in restored tributaries, and heightened community awareness of water cycles.

Reverse ecological loss from pine-dominant landscapes that increase water stress and forest-fire risk.

Convert community forests into dense indigenous forests using Miyawaki method and companion planting of local broad-leaved species.

Run local mobilization events with residents, volunteers, and institutions around source segregation and safe disposal practices.

Higher awareness, visible cleanliness in target pockets, and stronger local ownership of waste systems.

Paryavaran ki Pathshala & Awareness

Eco-consciousness in schools and communities

Purpose
Cultivate eco-conscious habits in schoolchildren and the general public through awareness initiatives like "Aao Nadi Ko Janen".
Approach
Interactive sessions, school programs, and field-based learning to foster a deep connection with the local environment.
